- 4 boneless, skinless chicken fillets
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Coat each chicken fillet in olive oil, then dip into the breadcrumb mixture.
- Place the breaded chicken fillets on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
- Remove from the oven and top each fillet with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is melted.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in Italian dressing for a few hours before breading.
- You can use store-bought or homemade marinara sauce.
