Ingredients

  • 4 sausages
  • 2 large potatoes
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Peel and chop the potatoes.
  2. Boil the potatoes until soft, about 15 minutes.
  3. Drain and mash the potatoes with milk, butter, salt, and pepper.
  4. Cook the sausages in a skillet over medium heat until browned and cooked through.
  5. In the same skillet, add sliced onions and cook until soft.
  6. Sprinkle flour over the onions and stir for 1 minute.
  7. Add beef broth and stir until the gravy thickens.
  8. Serve sausages on a bed of mashed potatoes and top with gravy.

Notes

  • You can use any type of sausage you prefer.
  • Add herbs for extra flavor.
  • Leftover mash can be used for bubble and squeak.
