- 1/4 cup salt
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon black peppercorns
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
Instructions
- In a large pot, combine water, salt, and sugar. Heat until dissolved.
- Add black peppercorns, garlic, and rosemary. Stir to combine.
- Remove from heat and let cool completely.
- Submerge chicken in the brine. Refrigerate for 4 to 12 hours.
- Remove chicken from brine, rinse under cold water, and pat dry.
Notes
- Brining times may vary based on chicken size.
- Use a non-metal container for brining.
- Discard leftover brine after use.
