- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1 cup quinoa, rinsed
- 2 cups water
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
- Add beef to the marinade and let it sit for 30 minutes.
- While the beef marinates, toss broccoli with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Spread broccoli on a baking sheet and roast for 20 minutes.
- In a saucepan, combine quinoa and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
- In a skillet, cook marinated beef over medium-high heat for 5-7 minutes until cooked through.
- To serve, layer quinoa, beef, and roasted broccoli in bowls. Garnish with sesame seeds.
Notes
- You can substitute beef with chicken or tofu for a different protein.
- Adjust marinade ingredients to taste.
