- 1 lb ground chicken
- 2 cups diced tomatoes
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 carrot, diced
- 1 celery stalk, diced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Parmesan cheese for serving
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add onion, garlic, carrot, and celery. Sauté until softened.
- Add ground chicken. Cook until browned.
- Stir in diced tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve over cooked pasta and top with Parmesan cheese.
Notes
- You can use fresh tomatoes instead of canned.
- Serve with garlic bread for a complete meal.
- This sauce freezes well.
