Ingredients

- 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 large onions, finely sliced
- 4 tomatoes, chopped
- 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
- 2–3 green chilies, slit
- 1 tablespoon cumin seeds
- 1 tablespoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.
- Add sliced onions and fry until golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies. Cook for 2 minutes.
- Add chopped tomatoes and cook until soft.
- Add chicken pieces, salt, turmeric, red chili powder, and coriander powder. Mix well.
- Cook on medium heat until chicken is browned.
- Add a little water, cover, and simmer until chicken is cooked through.
- Uncover, add garam masala, and cook until the sauce thickens.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
Notes
- Serve with rice or naan.
- Adjust spice levels according to taste.
