Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
  • 2 large onions, finely sliced
  • 4 tomatoes, chopped
  • 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
  • 23 green chilies, slit
  • 1 tablespoon cumin seeds
  • 1 tablespoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.
  2. Add sliced onions and fry until golden brown.
  3. Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies. Cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until soft.
  5. Add chicken pieces, salt, turmeric, red chili powder, and coriander powder. Mix well.
  6. Cook on medium heat until chicken is browned.
  7. Add a little water, cover, and simmer until chicken is cooked through.
  8. Uncover, add garam masala, and cook until the sauce thickens.
  9. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
