Chicken Fried Rice: 5 Secrets to Comforting Perfection

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1/2 cup peas and carrots
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Add peas and carrots, and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Push the vegetables to one side and add beaten eggs, scrambling until cooked.
  4. Add cooked rice and chicken, and mix everything together.
  5. Pour soy sauce over the mixture and stir well.
  6. Season with salt and pepper, and toss in chopped green onions.
  7. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, then serve hot.

Notes

  • Use leftover rice for better texture.
  • Customize with your favorite vegetables.
  • For extra flavor, add garlic or ginger.
