Ingredients

  • 4 pita breads
  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1/2 cucumber, sliced
  • 1/2 cup creamy garlic sauce

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken with olive oil, cumin, paprika, turmeric, garlic powder, salt, and pepper for at least 1 hour.
  2. Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked.
  4. Remove chicken and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  5. Slice chicken into strips.
  6. Warm pita bread on the grill for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Assemble shawarma by adding chicken, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and garlic sauce to pita.
  8. Roll up pita and serve immediately.
