Ingredients

- 1 whole chicken, cut into pieces
- 8 cups of water
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 cup egg noodles
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- In a large pot, add chicken pieces and cover with water.
- Bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Add carrots, celery, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and bay leaves.
- Reduce heat and let simmer for 1 hour.
- Remove chicken pieces and shred the meat.
- Add shredded chicken back to the pot.
- Add egg noodles and cook until tender, about 10 minutes.
- Stir in parsley before serving.

- Use low-sodium broth for a healthier option.
- You can add other vegetables like peas or corn.
