- 1 whole chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Marinate chicken in buttermilk for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- In a bowl, mix flour, Cajun seasoning, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Remove chicken from buttermilk and coat in the flour mixture.
- Fry chicken in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 15-18 minutes.
- Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
