Easy Cauliflower Cheese: 5 Steps to Cheesy Perfection

Ingredients

  • 1 large head of cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 2 cups of cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Steam the cauliflower florets until tender.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  4. Add the flour and stir for 1 minute to form a roux.
  5. Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring until the sauce thickens.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in half of the cheese until melted.
  7. Combine the cauliflower with the cheese sauce, mixing well.
  8. Transfer to a baking dish and top with remaining cheese.
  9. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden and bubbly.

Notes

  • Use sharp cheddar for more flavor.
  • Add breadcrumbs on top for extra crunch.
