Fish Pie: 7 Comforting Steps to Culinary Delight

Ingredients

  • 500g white fish fillets
  • 250g smoked fish
  • 300ml milk
  • 50g butter
  • 50g flour
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • 500g potatoes, peeled and chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C.
  2. Boil the potatoes until tender, then mash with butter and season.
  3. In a pan, melt butter and sauté onion until soft.
  4. Add flour, then gradually whisk in milk until thickened.
  5. Add fish and parsley, then season to taste.
  6. Pour the fish mixture into a baking dish.
  7. Top with mashed potatoes and smooth it out.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden.

Notes

  • Use any firm white fish.
  • Can add peas for extra flavor.
  • Let it cool before serving.
