Lasagne: 7 Layers of Comfort That Will Warm Your Heart

Lasagne is a classic Italian dish made with layers of pasta, meat, cheese, and sauce.

Ingredients

  • 12 lasagne sheets
  • 500g ground beef
  • 400g ricotta cheese
  • 300g mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a pan, sauté onion and garlic until soft.
  3. Add ground beef, cook until browned. Season with salt, pepper, and oregano.
  4. Mix ricotta cheese with the egg in a bowl.
  5. Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  6. Layer 4 lasagne sheets over the sauce.
  7. Add half of the beef mixture, followed by half of the ricotta mix, and a layer of mozzarella.
  8. Repeat the layers, finishing with marinara sauce and mozzarella on top.
  9. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  10. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly.

Notes

  • Let the lasagne sit for 10 minutes before serving.
  • You can add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for variation.
