Roasted Chicken with Smoked Paprika: 5 Flavorful Secrets

Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken (about 45 lbs)
  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 lemon, halved
  • Fresh herbs (rosemary or thyme) for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix smoked paprika, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Rub the spice mixture all over the chicken, including inside the cavity.
  4. Place the lemon halves inside the cavity of the chicken.
  5. Place the chicken in a roasting pan.
  6. Roast in the preheated oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  7. Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes before carving.
  8. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
