- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and diced
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 tablespoons cold water
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for caramel)
- 1/4 cup water (for caramel)
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt. Add butter and blend until crumbly.
- Add egg yolk and cold water. Mix until dough forms.
- Roll out the dough and fit it into a tart pan. Prick the bottom with a fork.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until golden. Let it cool.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar and water for caramel. Cook until it turns amber.
- Remove from heat and carefully add cream. Stir until smooth.
- Pour caramel into the cooled tart shell.
- Melt chocolate chips and pour over the caramel.
- Sprinkle sea salt on top. Chill until set.

- Let the tart chill completely for easier slicing.
