- 4 sausages
- 2 cups mashed potatoes
- 1 cup onion, sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 cups beef or vegetable broth
- 1 cup peas
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the sausages in a skillet until browned and cooked through.
- In another pot, prepare the mashed potatoes.
- In a pan, melt butter and sauté the onions until soft.
- Add flour to the onions and stir for 1 minute.
- Gradually add broth while stirring to avoid lumps.
- Simmer until the gravy thickens.
- Cook peas in boiling water for 2-3 minutes.
- Serve sausages over mashed potatoes, topped with onion gravy and peas.
Notes
- You can use any type of sausage you prefer.
- Adjust the thickness of the gravy by adding more or less broth.
- For extra flavor, add herbs like thyme to the gravy.
