- 4 chicken fillets
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups breadcrumbs
- 4 sandwich rolls
- 1 cup lettuce
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Flatten the chicken fillets using a meat mallet.
- Season the flour with salt and pepper.
- Dredge each chicken fillet in flour, dip in beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Fry the breaded chicken until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side.
- Place the fried chicken on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
- Slice the sandwich rolls and spread mayonnaise on each side.
- Add lettuce, tomato, and onion to the rolls.
- Place the schnitzel on top and close the sandwich.
Notes
- Serve with pickles on the side.
- Use pork or veal for different flavors.
- Feel free to add cheese if desired.
