Ingredients

  • 4 chicken fillets
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups breadcrumbs
  • 4 sandwich rolls
  • 1 cup lettuce
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Flatten the chicken fillets using a meat mallet.
  3. Season the flour with salt and pepper.
  4. Dredge each chicken fillet in flour, dip in beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  6. Fry the breaded chicken until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  7. Place the fried chicken on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
  8. Slice the sandwich rolls and spread mayonnaise on each side.
  9. Add lettuce, tomato, and onion to the rolls.
  10. Place the schnitzel on top and close the sandwich.

Notes

  • Serve with pickles on the side.
  • Use pork or veal for different flavors.
