- 1 half chicken
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and black pepper.
- Place the chicken in a large zip-top bag or dish.
- Pour the marinade over the chicken and seal the bag or cover the dish.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for best results.
- Preheat the grill or oven to medium-high heat.
- Remove chicken from marinade and discard the marinade.
- Grill or bake the chicken for 30-40 minutes or until fully cooked.
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier flavor, add red pepper flakes to the marinade.
- Serve with steamed rice or vegetables.
