- 2 chicken fillets, diced
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 cup chickpea flour
- 1/2 cup water
- Oil for frying
- 4 slices of bread
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons tamarind paste
Instructions
- Marinate diced chicken with garam masala, turmeric, and chili powder.
- Mix chickpea flour and water to make a batter.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the onion slices until golden brown.
- Dip marinated chicken in the batter and fry until cooked through.
- Mix mayonnaise with tamarind paste.
- Assemble the sandwich with bread, chicken, onion bhaji, and tamarind mayo.
- Serve and enjoy.

- Use whole wheat bread for a healthier option.
- Leftover bhajis can be stored in the fridge.
