Steak Burger, Mash, Turnip and Steamed Carrot Love Story

Ingredients

  • 500g ground beef
  • 4 burger buns
  • 2 large potatoes
  • 200g turnips
  • 200g carrots
  • 1 onion
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Butter for mash
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Prepare the mash by boiling peeled potatoes until soft.
  2. Drain and mash potatoes with butter, salt, and pepper.
  3. Peel and chop turnips and carrots.
  4. Steam turnips and carrots until tender.
  5. Form ground beef into patties and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Cook patties in a hot pan with olive oil until browned on both sides.
  7. Slice onion and sauté until soft.
  8. Assemble burgers on buns with sautéed onions.
  9. Serve with mash, turnips, and steamed carrots.

  • Adjust seasoning to your taste.
  • Can substitute ground turkey for a leaner option.
